Women group condemn invasion of justice odili’s abuja residence

A group by the name, Stand Up for Women Society, (SWS) a Non- Governmental Organisation, has condemned the frontal Invasion of the residence of Hon Justice Mary Odili in Mataima , Abuja
President of SWS, Mrs Deborah, Ijadele-Adetona, said the condemnation came on the backdrop of the fact that, Justice Odili is not.just a woman but also a renowned justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria who has served this nation.
Ijadele -Adetona who made this statement this, noted that the invasion which was based on a false information by a faceless whistle blower without any form of Identification is a gross infringement Justice Odili’s fundamental human rights to subjected to such horror.
According to her, the act is embarrassing, unacceptable and therefore should be condemned in all entirety .
She said “It is quite unfortunate that such an act took place on the day the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Annual General Conference in Port Harcourt of which she is also a member ended.”
The SWS president also noted that, “there is no hope for the common man if the Federal Government can use a non juristic Body called “Asset Recovery Panel to attack a Justice of the Supreme Court of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”, stressing on the importance of an unreserved apology from the Federal Government to Justice Mary Odili
Ijadele -Adetona also called for a thorough investigation to fish out all those involved in the unholy act and their sanctions accordingly.
