Wike, Fayose, Ikpeazu, Ugwuanyi, Makinde Absent at PDP Mega Rally in Osun
Governors Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Okezie Ikpeazu, Abia State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State are among the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to brass Absent at the Osun gubernatorial rally, Thursday for its governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke.
Others who refused to register their presence are Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Samuel Ortom, Benue State; and the former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose.
The PDP Mega Rally at Oshogbo, was earlier embroiled in a crisis ever since the emergence of Ifeanyi Okowa as the Vice Presidential Candidate of the Party.
This didn’t go down well with the Governor of Benue state Samuel Ortom, who quickly voiced out his disappointment with the development and called on the party to reach out to Wike.
Last week, three APC governors alongside Fayose visited Wike in Port Harcourt to woo him over to the ruling party and going by the events of today, it seems the crisis in the opposition party is far from getting resolved.
Speaking on the matter, Chieftain of the PDP who pleaded anonymity said: “The party is not handling the Wike situation well and he may well be on his way out”.
“Fayose on the other hand may have already left the party because he is no longer participating/contributing to the party’s activities”.
