The Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo has recalled the earlier suspended Execution Secretary, of the state Primary Healthcare Development Agency (EDSPHCDA), Dr. Coulsdon Oahimire.
Oahimire was suspended following petition against him of misappropriation of funds meant for the agency.
According to sources at Government House Benin City, Oahimire’s ordeal began when a director of the agency accused him of misappropriation of funds from UNICEF and other donor agencies for immunisation programme.
It was further learn that the alleged fund mismanagement was earmarked for training which has to do with life support programmes such as training of medical doctors, nurses and community Health Extension workers.
Towncriernews however, gathered that the committee set up to investigate the allegations raised in the petition absolved Oahimire of any wrong doing.
The source said, “Investigation was carried out into the allegations and a panel was set up. The suspended Executive Secretary was exonerated by the panel.”
When approached for reaction, Dr. Oahimire said he owed no grudge against the petitioner since he had been absorbed of any wrong doing, adding that has resolved to work with the same person being a staff of the agency in accordance with the law.
He therefore, thanked everybody who played major role towards the investigation and reinstatement as the Executive Secretary of Primary Health Development Agency.
