Twist of Fate as 18-year-old homeless bus conductor emerges winner of chess, mental maths
An 18 year-old bus conduc conductor, Adeoye Fawaz whose home is under the bridge of Oshodi, Lagos has won the chess and mental mathematics competition.
Fawaz, is said to have spent better part of life living under the Oshodi bridge as a bus conductor and has spent years of his life under Oshodi bridge until fortune smile on him when hr emerged as overall champion in both chess and mental maths at a tournament held in Oshodi, Lagos.
The tournament is the brainchild of an organisation, Chess In Slums Initiative, dedicated to engaging children and other young people living in slums.
Adeoye who revealed that he wanted to become a comedian and musician ended up working as a bus conductor until the latest turn of event that changed his life.
