Tragedy as Students Stab Teacher to Death in Taraba

Some  secondary school students in Jalingo, Taraba State have reportedly stabbed one of their teachers in the school to death.
The deceased teacher, Bassy Sarduana, was a staff of Model Secondary School, Jalingo.
Investigation revealed that the attack on the deceased came following his recent decision to punish some students at the school for exhibiting bad behaviours.
It was gathered that since the teacher took the decision, the students affected began to nurse ill feelings towards the teacher and allegedly ambushed him on his way home and stabbed him.
The Taraba State Command of the Nigerian Police Force, Spokesman, Abdullahi Usman, on Thursday, confirmed the death of the teacher to Journalists in the state.
According to Usman, the primary suspect in the saga, was an ex-student of the school who conspired with his friends in the school to stabbed the teacher.
Affirming that the command has commenced investigation into the case, the PPRO also confirmed that the deceased died at the Federal Medical Centre, FMC, Jalingo, where he was taken for treatment.
He further said that efforts are ongoing to track down all the students involved in the killing and urged anyone with useful information on their whereabouts to reach out to the command.
A medical staff at the medical centre who also confirmed the incident said the teacher gave up the ghost a few hours after he was rushed to the hospital.
Though the school authorities could not be reached at the time of filing this report, however, some staff of the school who confirmed the incident alleged that the negative attitude of some of the students, especially those in senior classes, is becoming unbearable and urged the police to bring all the students involved to book.
