Teenager wins 3-bedroom apartment in glo festival of joy promo


When someone called Ibrahim Akindele, a 200-level student studying Science and Laboratory Technology at Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, that he had won a three bedroom bungalow, courtesy of the telecommunication giant, Glo, he thought it is one those pranks associated with the internet.
He said: “I was in disbelief, I thought it was just someone playing pranks”, adding that though he knew from past events that Globacom was a company that gives huge prizes to its subscribers, he never expected such gigantic one.
You don’t blame Akindele because many persons have been either dubbed, swindled through this process or made an objects of caricature.
The 200-level student of Science Laboratory Technology of the Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, said skepticism was his first reaction to the good news.
Alas! The call to Akindele was a genuine one that he indeed won a house and he should come a claim it; a first-of-its-kind move by Globacom.

The reality was actually demonstrated when Glo redeemed its promises because integrity is its watchword to subscribers.
Therefore on Wednesday, in Ibadan, Oyo State, it indeed presented a three-bedroom house to Akindele, a 19-year-old undergraduate who won in the company’s Festival of Joy Promo.
At the presentation ceremony, Akindele gushed with excitement and unbridled joy, saying the decision on how the apartment would be use rest on his parents to make.

His 54-year-old mother, Mrs. Funmilayo Akindele, was also trimming with palpable joy as she said, “The house will be a lace of refuge for Ibrahim and is older brother while we will be coming to spend weekends with the.”
The ceremony was attended by the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Mr. Debo Ogundoyin, and other key members of the state legislature.
