Student beat teacher to death in Delta

The University town of Abraka in Delta State is tumoil as a senior secondary school student identified as Michael Ogbaise reportedly beat his teacher, Joseph Ezeugo to Death.

It was learnt that the offence of Ezeugo was that he flogged the younger sister of Michael, named Promise

The incident was said to have occurred at a private school (name with held) in Abraka

According to Punch, trouble started when the teacher reportedly flogged Promise who in turn reported the matter to her brother, also a student of the school.

Unable to bear his sister being flogged by the teacher, Ogbeisei went after the teacher and gave him some beatings that eventually led to his death.

The Delta State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe (DSP) confirmed the incident when contacted.

He said, Ogbeise attacked the teacher for flogging his younger sister, Promise.

According to Edafe, “The story is true. The young man attacked the teacher who collapsed in the process. The girl is now under a protective custody, but her brother, who effected the killing, has bolted away.”
