Soldier blew self after sighted among boko haram terrorist fighters

A Nigerian soldier, Lance Corporal Jibrin, also an instructor with his Army Battalion in Geidam, has killed himself by blowing his head with a riffle.
His death Town Crier News gathered occured when members of his troope sighted him fighting on the side of Boko Haram in Geidam, Gone State.
Jubril was said to have disappeared for two days without trace only to be seen among the Boko Haram terrorists fighters, against his collegues.
He was said to a very popular  and liked by his colleagues because of his known competence in handling weapons before he was however sighted among the Boko Haram Terrorists, that attacked Geidam last Sunday.
Against this backdrop, the Battalion Commander had to track his phone and was zeroed to a point in Gashua, hundreds of kilometers from his supposed duty post.
With this, the Army authorities in Gashua was intimated and the soldiers spread their dragnets round him and he was apprehended Tuesday when he boarded a bus to Gombe and disguised himself.
However, luck ran out of him and he was Identified and arrested at a checkpoint in Gashua, handcuffed where he gave several revelations upon his interrogation.
On transit to Geidam, after his arrest, Jibrin employed was said to have deployed his skills as a weapon instructor by snatching a gun from one of his escorts, over powered the other and blew himself up.
His revelations however, said to have led to the arrest of some of his terror-brethren, while many are believed to be among the troops in both Gombe and Geidam Battalions. 
Corporal Jubril was from a tribe known as Babur in Biu Local Government Area of Your State before he got switched.
Town Crier News Reported Sunday of the death of one person while several others were wounded in Gashua, the home town of Nigeria Senate President, Ahmad Lawan which is 188 kilometers of Damaturu, the To State capital.
The incident as gathered, occured at a drinking joint in Abasha area of the town when Muslim faithful were observing late evening prayer.
A source who craved anonymity said: “We were observing the late evening prayer at 8pm and all of a sudden, we heard a loud explosion and everyone scampered for safety and was later told after normalcy that it was a suspected IED planted by the terrorists that exploded in the Abasha area.”
One person was said to have been killed by the explosion while five was reportedly injured and we’re taken to Gashua Specialist Hospital for treatment. 

Besides there was also reported cases of heavy fighting between the gallant Nigerian military and the terrorists groups in the area that resulted to heavy casualties on the side of the insurgents, said a military source.
