Train services across the country have
been shut down following the three
day warning strike embarked upon
by Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC)
workers nationwide. The warning
srike by workers of NRC is scheduled
November 18 to November 20
Earlier, the Minister of Transport, Mr.
Rotimi, last Saturday, invited the
labour unions which ended in a deadlock
There was another follow-up meeting by
the board and management of the firm.
But that could not change the decision
of the union on the strike action.
Speaking, the General Secretary of the
Nigerian Union of Railway Workers (NUR)
Comrade, Segun Esan in a chart with
journalists, Tuesday night, said the
mobilisation for the warning strike had
been massive.
“There was no going back.
“The strike starts on midnight of this
Wednesday prior to the dawn of
Thursday 18/11/2021.
The mobilisation for the strike
is unprecedented and the entire NRC
workers are top gear for
the warning strike,” he noted.
