Remember him? Chubby Checker! The American rock and roll singer and dancer of the 1960s who mesmerized the world with his dance style called “Twist” with his hit cover Hank Ballad and The Midnighters
He also introduced the Pony dance style with his 1961 cover song Pony Time. Chubby is 80 years today, Sunday, October 3, 2021. He is acknowledged as one of the world’s most celebrated dancer of all time.
