Business Mogul and Chairman of Geregu Power Plc Mr. Femi Otedola has tasked the incoming administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu to fix issues in the country’s electrical sector by seeking investors who knows what it takes to work on power transmission
Otedola, stated this on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange Limited, on Tuesday during the final gong ceremony for the inaugural Annual General Meeting of Geregu Power.
Punch Newspaper, reported that Otedola asserted that the biggest problem facing the power sector was transmission, adding that a well-organised power sector would significantly benefit the industrial sector and the overall economy.
According to him, “I think we’re at the point where the power industry will attract a lot of attention. We have fresh vegetation.
“Transmission is our issue; this is where we need to look. We are at a point where the new administration can take office and begin to address the issues facing the power sector, hopefully with success. To address these issues, it is necessary to find investors with experience in the private sector.”
