Suspected terrorists in their hundreds have reportedly attacked the Kaduna International Airport, killed one staff and prevented a Lagos-bound flight from taking off.
Besides, some residents of Danmani community, Rigasa in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State were said to have sustained various degrees of injuries following an explosion in the area.
Town Crier News gathered that the insurgents numbering about 200 invaded the Airport and shot a staff of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) dead.
The incident was said to have occured on Saturday, after the armed men prevented an AZMAN aircraft scheduled for Lagos from take off.
The plane scheduled to take off at about 12:30pm could not due to the presence of the terrorists who shot the NAMA staff along the runway area of the airport
Meanwhile, an eye witness informed that the explosion that occured at Danmani community was as a result of an explosive dropped beside a POS operator’s shop, near a Mosque in the area which denoted, causing serious injury on the operator.
Reports said the incident which affected the legs of the POS operator, his finger nails, also caused serious injuries on three other persons.
