Entertainment gurus are wishing one of the pioneers and promoters in Nigeria’s entertainment industry. He’s the founder of nightlife/clubbing and Niteshift Coliseum Ken-Caleb Olumese a happy birthday today (born May 27, 1944).
Known as “de Guvnor”. Olumese has logged in almost 40 years as a super nightlife entrepreneur. Known for his exceptional achievements, contributions and leadership in shaping the entertainment landscape in Nigeria and Africa.
His Niteshift Coliseum made its debut in April 1988. The Coliseum was undoubtedly Nigeria’s biggest celebrity hangout. For more than three decades it played host to the powerful figures in Nigerian politics, music, sports, and entertainment.
Not to be forgotten is the iconic song “Nightshift,” a 1985 hit performed by the Commodores to welcome their guests. It was real fun hanging out with the entertainment Guru. From us in Towncriernews, we say happy birthday to the a quintessential impresario, the Don Cornelius of Nigerian entertainment.
