Nigerian Army School of Supply, Transport Trains 4th Quarter Students on Logistics Support, Planning in Edo

The Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport (NASST) on Thursday in Benin City, Edo State trained its Fourth -Quarter students on logistics support and planning.
The students were trained to put their theoretical knowledge of logistics support planning into practice in a tactical operation.
The exercise was aimed at equipping students with the essential skills to ensure seamless operations by applying logistic requirements in a real-world tactical scenario.
Speaking to journalists at the two days event, the Commander Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport ,
Major General Adekunle Adeyinka said the tactical setting has been intentionally simplified to allow students to focus on producing logistic requirements for the impending operation.
He said “The Exercise NAYARDA is a Field Training Exercise (FTX) specifically designed for NASST Fourth-Quarter students to put their theoretical knowledge of logistics support planning into practice in a tactical operation. This comprehensive exercise aims to equip students with the essential skills to ensure seamless operations by applying logistic requirements.
“In this regard, students will utilize their understanding of logistics support planning in a real-world tactical scenario, identify and execute necessary logistic requirements to support the tactical operation. This will involve the conduct of Logistics Estimate Process and Combat Service Support Operations (CSSO) by students of the Battalion Command Course.
“Additionally, there will be delivery of Mov Orders, CSSO, convoy briefing, setting of information centre for briefing of guests and preparing of a sand model in the Ops Room. “
Major General Adeyinka also said that to ensure realism, map would be used and various logistics installations and location will be established in the Ex Area, adding that this will include setting up and management of the Distribution Point (DP) and developing logistic support plans at the junior command level.

“The tactical setting has been intentionally simplified to allow students to focus on producing logistic requirements for the impending operation. The Ex will allow students to gain invaluable hands-on experience in logistics support planning, enhancing their preparedness for the forthcoming Ex MUGUN BUGU III”, he said.
