The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced the suspension of fuel Subsidy removal.
The suspension according to Town Crier News was made by the Minister of State, Petroleum, Timipre Sylva after a Stakeholders meeting in Abuja.
Present at the Stakeholders meeting was the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; and Representatives of the Organised Labour.
Announcing the suspension, Sylva was quoted to have said, “federal government has realised the timing of its planned removal of petrol subsidy is problematic, and will worsen the hardship in the country.”
