Insecurity: buhari orders closure of all fed govt colleges in Abuja


Following Insecurity threats by Terrorists masquerading as bandits, the Nigerian government on Monday ordered closure of all Federal Government Colleges in Abuja to avoid any act of kidnapping of pupils of schools and residents of nearby communitie.
One of the schools, Federal Government College (FGC) Kwali, had requested parents on July 24 to pick their children the following day, Monday, after a community adjourning its fence was attacked by bandits who kidnapped some of the residents.
Director of Press, Federal Ministry of Education, Mr Ben Goong, confirmed to newsmen in Abuja that the ministry had ordered the evacuation of students from the schools.
Goong also confirmed that the decision was as a result of rising insecurity and threat to the lives and wellbeing of the students
With this developed, Students still sitting for WAEC/NECO exams as well as terminal examinations have been told that a new date for their examinations would be communicated to them in due course.
