Ikoyi collapsed building: property developer, PA Amongst casualties


The developers of the 21 storey building which collapsed in Ikoyi area of Lagos State, Monday, Mr. Femi Osibona, has reportedly died in the rubbles of the building after he was trapped alongside workers on the site.Osibona is said to be the brain behind 360 Degrees Towers in Ikoyi. He was said to be on a visit to the site when the building caved in.Also killed was his Personal Assistant (PA), NifemiA source said Osibona, the Managing Director of Fourscore Heights Limited, was trapped inside the building alongside Nifemi and Wale Bob-Oseni, his friend.While the dead body of Nifemi, has been recovered, that of Osibona is still missingThe Police Orderly to Osibona confirmed he is trapped in the rubble with his friend, Wale Bob-Oseni, with over 20 persons so far confirmed dead since the building located on Gerrard Road collapsed.
Town Crier News gathered that rescue operations are still ongoing at the scene of the incident with families and friends of those trapped in the building accusing government officials and rescue workers of being ineffective.Consequently, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, had earlier suspended Gbolahan Oki, the General Manager of the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA), over the incident.
