Kadosh Initiative for Justice and Environmental Development Strongly Condemns the Inhumane Arraignment of Malnourished Children in Court by Tinubu Government Over End Bad Governance Protest.
In a statement Thursday by Blessed Jatt (PolAd), Executive Director, Kadosh Initiative for Justice and Environmental Development said: “It is with profound outrage that Kadosh Initiative for Justice and Environmental Development condemns the despicable and inhumane decision by the Tinubu-led government to arraign malnourished children in court over their alleged involvement in a protest against bad governance.”
Jatt, who is also the Political Advisor to UN and ECOWAS Peace Support Operations in Africa, further noted, “This action underscores a glaring insensitivity and disregard for fundamental human rights, especially concerning the most vulnerable members of our society—children who, rather than being supported, are being treated as criminals by a system meant to protect them.
“To drag malnourished children into courtrooms is a heartbreaking testament to a government that appears willing to inflict further trauma upon those who have already been failed by the state.
According to him, “Instead of addressing the root causes of their plight—poverty, hunger, and systemic injustice—this government has chosen to subject these young souls to a judicial process that they neither understand nor deserve.”
He said declared that such treatment not only fails to acknowledge the basic human rights of those affected but also highlights the extent of governmental insensitivity to the everyday struggles of Nigerians.
“We, therefore, call upon all well-meaning Nigerians and the international community to join in denouncing this gross injustice. This situation is a clear reminder of the urgent need for accountable and compassionate governance that prioritizes the welfare and rights of its people, especially its children.
“The government must, as a matter of urgency, release these children, provide them with the necessary medical care, and refocus its efforts on addressing the root issues that have spurred their suffering.
“Kadosh Initiative for Justice and Environmental Development stands resolutely with the families affected and reiterates its commitment to advocating for justice, dignity, and the rights of every Nigerian”, Jatt stated.
