How David Mark, Tambuwal, Others Received N17b bribe before passing 2015 budget, okonjo-Iweala Reveals

Former Nigeria Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okojo-Iweala, has alleged a bribery allegations against former Senate President, Senator David Mark; and the Speaker, House of Representatives, now Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal; and other principal officers of the National Assembly of collecting the sum of N17 billion as bribe from the Executive before passing the 2015 Budget.
Okojo-Iweala who was served under the administration of Goodluck Jonathan, made the shocking revelation in her book: “Fighting Corruption is Dangerous: The Story Behind the Headlines.”

The renowned economist who is presently the President of the World Bank, stated this on page 80 of the book.

The former Minister said the bribe money, which was added into the budget was N20 billion initially, but was reduced to N17 billion.
She added that the N17 billion was padded into budget as election expenses.
