Cultural Group Salutes President Buhari for Bestowing National Honours to Oba of Be
Coalition of Benin Socio-cultural Organisation has hailed President Muhammad’s Buhari for recognising the Oba of Benin, His Majesty, Ewuare II with the national Honours of Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR).
The honour would be bestowed on the Benin monarch on October 11, 2022
In a statement in Benin City, Edo State, signed by the group Coordinator General, Osazee Amas Edobor; Secretary General, Iyamu Osaro Culture; and Charity Ozigbo-Esere, Director of Gender Affairs; and made available to journalists, noted that the honour is well deserved.
According to the statement, “In the light of the aforementioned development, we want to graciously and joyfully congratulate our most powerful King in the world and the good people of Benin Kingdom for a well deserved honour.
“We also sincerely thank President Muhammadu Buhari for the honour done on our revered Palace, Throne and entire Benin Kingdom.
“Once again, we say a big congratulations to the great Benin People. Obs Gha to Joe Re, Ise!!!
