Gov. Okpebholo Saddened by Devastating Fire Incident in Jattu Community

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State is deeply saddened and concerned by the devastating fire incident that occurred at Jattu community that destroyed shops and goods on January 21, 2025. This incident in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State is sad and unfortunate. 

This tragic event has caused significant damage to property and livelihoods, and Governor Okpebholo extends his heartfelt sympathies to all those affected.

On a statement by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), said Governor Okpebholo has assured those affected that the State Government is committed to providing all necessary assistance. The Governor is working closely with relevant agencies, including Fire Service, Emergency Management Agency and Local Government Council to assess the extent of the damage and provide immediate relief.

Governor Okpebholo urges all citizens to remain calm and cooperate with the authorities as they work to address this situation. 

“We will overcome this challenge together through collective effort and solidarity,” Governor Okpebholo emphasized.
