The Ondo State Governor, Arakurin Rotimi Akeredolu in conjunction the Catholic Church in the state Friday, began a funeral Mass, subsequently for mass burial for the 40 Victims killer at the Owo area of the state.
No fewer than 40 persons were gruesomely murdered on June 5, 2022 when terrorists rained bullets on worshippers during Pentecost Sunday Mass to commemorate the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles at St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State.
The funeral mass began at 10:00 am after the caskets bearing the bodies of the deceased were brought in.
The venue of the mass, Mydas Resort, Owo, was filled to capacity with Governor Akeredolu in attendance with other top personalities.
The mass took off following the procession into the hall by Catholic priests.
