Ex-Senate President President, Pius Anyim Joins APC

After months of speculation and denial, Former Senate President and Secretary to the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim has finally dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Anyim, who was Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF) during the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan’s crossover to the APC is to be unveiled today (Saturday, July 13, 2024 during the flagoff campaign of local government election in Ebonyi State.

Before this, supporters of Anyim switched their allegiance to APC after announcing their decision to joined the APC.

The former defectors include notable figures such as former two-term House of Representatives member, Livunus Makwe; former two-term House of Assembly member, Oliver Osi and Aja Nwabueze, who served as the deputy governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP), in the 2023 general election in the state.
