Ex-ijaw militant leader allegedly commit suicide

A former Ijaw militant warlord, named 

Friday Igbegbe has reportedly taken his

life.

The incident was said to have occurred 

at Ogbe-Ijaw, headquarters of Warri 

South-West local government area of

Delta state.

Before committing the act, Igbegbe is 

said to have suffered depression for a 

long time before he eventually call it quit 

by commuting suicide.

The titled chief who reportedly left be-

hind, 36 children was once a patient at 

a remand home at Ogbomosho in Oyo

State where he was taking treatment but 

suddenly absonded from the place back 

to Ogbe-Ijaw where he took his own life.

He was alleged to be addicted to hard

drug according to some of acquaintance

When contacted for confirmation, Delta

Police Command Public Relations Officer

Bright Edafe asked he be giving some as

he was driving but never did until press 

time.
