Edo Police Arrests Man 30 Over Alleged Car Theft, Recovers Vehicle

The Edo State Police Command on Wednesday arrested a 30- years -old man, Friday Bassey for alleged car theft, while recovering a white coloured Toyota Hilux van.
A statement from the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Command, SP Moses Yamu said an intelligence driven operation of Aduwawa Police Division led to the arrest of Friday Bassey and the recovering of a Hilux Van with the registration number EDO 757 EA.
The Statement reads: “On 22/04/2025, in a painstaking technical intelligence driven operation, operatives of the Aduwawa Divisional Police Station successfully recovered a white coloured Toyota Hilux with registration number EDO 757 EA and arrested one Friday Bassey 30 years.
“The said vehicle was on 14/04/2025 at about 0550hrs stolen from where it was parked along Palace road Uteh off Upper Mission Extension. While investigation has commenced, the suspect has made useful statements that would assist the Police.”
