Ahead of the. September 21 governorship election in Edo State, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), on Thursday, commenced it Ward-to-Ward campaigns
The party said the ward tours will afford it the opportunity of meeting party faithful and electorate at the grass root level so as to acquainted with the programmes and vision of its candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo deputy governorship candidate, Osarodion Ogie, Esq.
In a statement made available to journalists, the Deputy Director General Media and Publicity of the Asue/Ogie Campaign Management Council, Rev. Olu Martins, said the tours will also serve as a platform for “our candidate and the party to vigorously take the message of prosperity to the grass roots so that no one is left out in our pursuit of a prosperous Edo State.”
The statement further noted that on the entourage of the candidate are the party executives led by Dr Tony Aziegbemi and the campaign council led by its Director General, Matthew iduoriyekemwen.
“No doubt that the People’s Democratic Party is the most prepared party for the September 21st election not only because we are a very organised party but also because our candidate Dr. Asue Ighodalo and his running mate, Osarodion Ogie are forward looking, focused and hardworking.
“We enjoin party faithfuls to come out in their usual enthusiastic large numbers as they have always done to welcome and mobilise their friends and family for the ‘Men Wey Sabi’ and their solid entourage”, the statement added.
