Edo former assembly speaker dumps APC

A former Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Mrs. Elizabeth Ativie has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ativie who also served and deputy speaker during the administration of Adams Oshiomhole, stated her stand during a press briefing held at the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre in Benin City.
Although she did not state the reason for her resignation, Ativie attributed her movement out of APC to the current unresolved crisis facing the party in her local government area, Uhunmwode, Orhionmwon and the entire APC in Edo State.
Reading out her letter of resignation, Ativie said: “This is letter is to convey to you that I have officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress party with immediate effect.
“The reason for my resignation is attributed to the current unresolved crisis facing APC in Uhunmwode, Orhionmwon and entire APC party in Eso State.”
