Edo APC Youths Take over Party Secretariat, Vow to Sack State Exco

Angry youths and women of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State on Monday took over the party secretariat,  demanded for the sack of the state executive members led by the acting Chairman, Jarret Tenebe.

The crowd who were led by the State Youth leader of the party, Tony Adun, forced their way into the offices and brought out the furniture, and other office equipment, vowinv to stay at building for the next seven days.

Speaking, Adun said that they were protesting against the conduct of the officials at Saturday’s primary election of the party which threw up three winners.

He vowed that they would not leave the premises until the exco do the right thing. They also said that they would cook, eat and stay there for seven days.

It would be recalled that the APC primaries which took place last weekend, first had two candidates emerging. While the Imo State Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma announced Dennis Idahosa as winner, the Chief Returning Officer, Dr. Stanley Ugboaja, pronounced Sen. Monday Okpebholo as winner.

Dramatically on Sunday, one of the aspirants, Anamero Dekeri, proclaimed self as candidate of the party for the September 21 governorship election.
