A cleric, Pastor David Alabi has raised another fears over the fate of his brother, Alabi Oyimafu who is hunted by cultists allegedly working for a politician in  Edo State.Pastor David  Alabi  alleged that the politician ( name with-held) had late last year threatened to kill his younger brother because he  refused to join one of the cult groups led by the politician and others. He said  Oyimafu has been working for the cult leader for a few years back without any problem until in October 2021 when their relationship deteriorated.Pastor Alabi said his brother decided to part ways with the politician cum cult leader as the latter tried to coerce him into joining the cult fraternity. He said following his brother’s refusal to join the group, the politician resorted to threats and intimidations.'”This man openly told my brother that he will kill him and nothing will happen. To safeguard his life,.my brother reported the matter to the police in Igarra on November 15, 2021. Surprisingly, our family home was invaded by unknown gunmen later that night.”Those in the house that fateful night were all traumatised as the gunmen shot sporadically before they forcibly gained entry into the house. Initially, my people thought it was a case of armed robbery but the mission of the gunnmen became clear when they demanded to see  Oyimafu who miraculously was not at home.”One of our cousins was shot on the right foot.when he.attempted to escape from the House”, Pastor Alabi revealed in an interview with journalists last weekend. The clergyman said that with the renewed cult-related killings in Edo State, the  family fears that the fate of Oyimafu who has gone into hiding continues to hang precariously in the balance.
