Classical Jazz composer, Yanni celebrates 67 years

Yiannis Chryssomallis, known professionally as Yanni, is a Greek-American classical Jazz composer, keyboardist, pianist, and music producer.
Yanni was born on the 14 of November, 1954 in Kalamata, Greece to a banker, Satori Chryssomallis and homemaker, Felitsa Chryssomallis, and second of their three children; an older brother and a younger sister.
He developed the love for music through the family because of deep-rooted love for music as they spend much of their time playing and singing together.
According to Wkipedia, “Yanni’s parents provided a typical Greek life for the young boy. He grew up fishing, swimming, and going to school like every other boy in his town, with one exception. Yanni was born to compose music.
“He began to play the piano at age six, but he refused formal piano lessons. As a child, Yanni heard music in his head and he simply wanted to hear it come out of the piano too, so he needed to learn how to play to make that happen. He felt a certain freedom with the keys that might have been crushed under the weight of structured learning.”
Today, he has continued to use the musical shorthand that he developed as a child, blending jazz, classical, soft rock, and world music to create predominantly instrumental works.
Happy birthday 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Yanni!
