A former Governor of Bayelsa State, Nestor Binabo is Dead
Binabor served as acting governor of the state between January 27, 2012, to February 14, 2012.
He also held positions as Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly during the administration of Chief Timipre Sylva.
Binabo who until his dead was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), hailed from Okumbiri in Sagbama Local Government Area of the state.
He was rported to have died on Thursday morning in Abuja after a prolonged battle with an undisclosed illness.
A family source of the ex-governor revealed that he died about 4.00am.
Binabo’s death was announced by his son, Mr Binabo Momos shared the news of his father’s death on his WhatsApp status with the caption, “I thought you’ll pull through, Dad. But God knows best.”
