Army couple Shot dead, beheaded by gunmen in Imo

A Nigerian military officer identified as A.M Linus and his wife, Private Gloria Matthew, a lance corporal have reportedly been murdered by some unknown gunmen on their way to the village in Imo State, Nigeria. 
According to reports, the couple was gunned down by these unknown gunmen, beheaded with their private parts mutilated. A video available to SaharaReporters shows the moment the gunmen placed the heads of their victims on their chests.
The gunmen after committing the outrageous act called the families of the couple to mock them and threaten them as well, saying soldiers have been killing a lot of innocent people, hence they killed the couple in revenge.
However, there haven’t been any reports about the police investigating the incident nor has an official statement been released to confirm the incident.
Reacting to the ugly incident, the Nigerian army Identified the two killed soldiers as Master Warrant Officer (MWO) Audu M Linus (retired) and Private Gloria Matthew
The army spokesperson, Onyema Nwachukwu confirmed that the couple had embarked on the trip to fulfill the traditional rites of their marriage, but were killed while in transit. 
He further revealed that Gloria Matthew hails from Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo state.
Nwachukwu further stated that this “dastardly act, one too many, clearly portends the deep seated hate, desperation and lawlessness with which foot soldiers of IPOB/ESN have being unleashing terror on Ndigbo, whom they claim they are on a mission to protect and emancipate”.
