Ghanaian Woman Becomes First African Female to Get Commonwealth Secretary General Job

Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey is the new Secretary- General of the  Commonwealth of Nations 

Ayorkor beats two other male contestants, Mammoud Tangara from Gambia and Joshua Setifa of Lesotho to emerge.

Before her election, she was former chairperson of Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Foreign Affairs Ministers. Her election by the Heads of Governments of the 56 – member Commonwealth of Nations  comes 35 years after tenure of Nigeria’s Emeka Anyaoku, who is the first African Scribe .

Shirley ‘s agenda is mind blowing for Africa. The Secretary General seeks reparations from the West, running into trillions of dollars for Trans Atlantic slavery and colonialism.
