Nnamdi Kanu: Chief ClaryAccuses Tinubu of Double Standard

By Towncriernews

An Elder Statesman and Ijaw Leader, Chief Edwin Kisgbodo Clark has asked President Bola Tinubu to release the leader of Biafra agitation, Nnamdi Kanu who has been in detention since the administration of former President, Muhammadu Buhari.

The nonegenerian who spoke on the continue detention of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB),  Nnamdi Kanu argued that a Yoruba Nation Agitator, Sunday Ighoho had also faced a similar accusation as Nnamdi Kanu but he was released.

He noted how the security forces invaded Sunday Ighoho’s home and how he fled to Benin Republic to evade arrest, stating that some ammunitions were confiscated in Ighoho’s house at that period but he has now returned to the country, walking freely as a citizen of the Country.

Chief Clark, a one-time Senator of the Federal Republic, and Federal Commissioner for Information, said in an interview with The Sun, ”Sunday Ighoho in the South West said he wanted Oduduwa Nation. Some professors joined him. I know some of them who used to attend meetings with me here.

They joined him until he had that problem in the house with the security men, where people were killed. Guns were seized in Sunday Ighoho’s house and he ran to Benin Republic. But he’s back now in the Country and he’s a free man. But he too was accused of being a terrorist like Nnamdi Kanu.”
