Nigeria’s Minister of Transport, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has denied nursing presidential ambition in 2023.
Recently, there had been rumours and insinuations that the former governor of oil rich Rivers State has been anointed by the powers that be to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari next year.
However, in an interview on Arise TV on Friday, Amaechi openly stated that he will not be contesting for president.
His statements are as out paid to the speculations, a day before his party’s (All Progressives Congress) APC, National Convention holding Saturday at the Eagles Square in Abuja.
Amaechi asked those who would want him to contest to give him the money required to carry out the task.
He said: The people that want me to run for the presidency in 2023 should just give me the money.”
